Easter Bunny and Chick Nail Art

Easter Bunny and Chick Nail Art

Just in time for Easter I’m here to share this adorable Easter Bunny and Chick nail art!

To get started, you will need to paint your nails in pastel colours. Feel free to choose your favourites, just be sure to have a yellow nail for the chick. The bunny can be placed on any nail colour.

Once your nails are dry, you can stamp 3 nails with Konad plate m79 – the polka dot stamp. If you don’t have a Konad stamp, feel free to use a toothpick, dotting tool or a nail pen.

Here’s a step by step on how to paint the Bunny and the Chick:

I used a nail art pen and stripers to draw in all of my details. I find these tools really useful especially when doing my non-dominant hand. When you’re doing these designs try and pick out the simple shapes – for example, the bunny’s head is just a half circle and two ovals for ears!

Once you’re done, and every detail is dry you’re going to finish it off with a top coat!

A little bit of a warning – the Sally Hanson nail art pens, and the Seche Vite top coat don’t seem to mix well. I’m not sure if it’s because of my fake nails, but once I applied my top coat all of my white details became opaque. For this reason, I’d use either a striper or a toothpick dipped in nail polish to create these designs. If you’ve tried a top coat that works well with the Nail Art Pens, please let me know in the comments!

March 2012 Glossybox

Well, I finally received my March Glossybox! It was waiting at my doorstep Friday when I got home from work, and I raced inside to open it.

March 2012 Glossybox

I have to say…I’m a tad bit underwhelmed.

I figured since the box was about 2 weeks later than it should have been, it would be extra awesome. Nope. It was barely even awesome.

I’ll admit that I haven’t given all of the products a try yet, so I’m not here to tell you that they all sucked. I just feel like these boxes should contain things that I can’t buy at Shopper’s Drug Mart.

The one thing I am very excited to try is the Evian Facial Spray. I’ve read a lot about this product and I haven’t been able to find it in any stores near me. The Pandora’s blush looks good too (I did a little swatch and it’s got a nice colour and pigment to it)!

I’m severely disappointed mostly with the Aveeno cream and the Sebastian hairspray. Both for different reasons. The Aveeno I’m disappointed in because it is not a “premium” brand, and Aveeno products tend to break me out. I know a ton of people love Aveeno and their products, and I wish I could too because it’s so affordable. The Sebastian hairspray only disappoints me because I already use it, so it’s nothing new to me.

I’m going to try Glossybox for another month and see what else comes my way! I’ll do a little review of the products this week as well!
